VOCATIONAL TUTOR

PRP Training have an exciting opportunity available for a new Vocational Tutor. Based in our office in Pembroke Dock, the successful candidate would become part of a supportive and forward thinking team and will be able to lead and develop their own delivery within the programme specification under the guidance of management.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting and developing young people to reach their personal and professional goals, as well as working with each individual to overcome barriers and to exceed perceived boundaries.

IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

PRP Training has developed into a centre of excellence delivering workbased learning throughout Wales.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support position within the organisation.  The position is to provide ongoing IT support to the organisation and student learners.

Duties include:

  • Answering and resolving hardware and software problems via phone, email and live chat,
  • Configuring and repairing PC’s and laptops,
  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting various windows versions including windows 10 pro
  • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting various other software platforms as required by the organisation.
  • To ensure software, hardware and network installs, re-installs, upgrades, moves, changes and relocations are made when necessary and as required.
  • Design, implement and maintain external and internal internet-based media systems, e.g. websites, intranet and extranets, etc.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
  • Assist on projects or special initiatives as assigned
  • Ensure IT network is fit for purpose, including maintaining windows servers, backup servers, firewall hardware.
  • Ensure the integrity & safety of digitally held information as part of our GDP Regulations.
  • Maintain office telephony system, including inputting new users, out of office replies, answering system.
  • Provide basic training to end users on both hardware and applicable software

 

The successful candidate must have:

  • Experience using and troubleshooting all Office 365 programmes
  • A basic understanding of network switches, wireless access points and internet routers
  • A basic understanding of cloud based telephony system
  • Experience using and troubleshooting Windows Servers and appropriate software
  • Experience using and troubleshooting Internet firewall systems
  • Be familiar with a variety of common hardware and software to complete installation, updates and troubleshooting of software utilized by organization
  • Professional Telephone manner
  • Strong written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Working hours

  • Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 5.00pm
  • Friday 9.00 am – 4.00pm
