Year 11 & 12
Years 10 , 11 and 12 can choose from a variety of vocational courses available at the PRP Vocational Training Academy.
If you are aged between 14 - 19 you can gain a recognised qualification and an experience that you may not necessarily receive in a school environment.
We feel that training at school level is important as it gives individuals the best possible start and broad outlook into their career choices.
All students will work in small groups to get the best learning experience. Most courses include work placement opportunities which will give more insight into their chosen career.

There are many options available in a Hospitality role; you could find yourself doing anything from preparing food and drinks to organising conference facilities, working on a reception desk or providing trolley service. Hospitality is a great way to meet new people, work in a team and satisfying customer’s needs. A Hospitality qualification focuses on your area of expertise and lets you train as you work. Within a few years you could progress to running a hectic kitchen or managing a busy hotel.

A career in this field gives you the opportunity to help, support and empower people who are receiving some form of care, whether they are young, unwell, and elderly or have mental health problems the range of job roles are vast. The duties you carry out depends on your job, whether working in a children’s home or care home you may be assisting individuals themselves to working with the individuals family to support their needs. You need the right qualifications to work in this field and are something all employers are looking for to demonstrate you is a skilled and competent worker.

Most people start off as a salon assistant helping out with daily salon tasks. After a little while you start to pick up the techniques learnt from the others around you. We at PRP Training can offer year 12's vocational programmes at QCF Level 1 to suit each individual's specific requirements within the following industries:
Childcare, Hospitality, Customer Service and Business Administration. The programmes offered are on a 4 day release programme where students have one day in a classroom setting and 3 days out on placement in a workplace specific to their chosen industry.
