Traineeship Level 1

For learners who already know what career they would like to follow and are ready to train at this level or who have naturally progressed from the engagement option.

This pathway could also include work placements with employers, community projects and training with the provider as the learner follows an NVQ in their chosen discipline.

The Level 1 option also provides an opportunity to continue the address barriers the learner has which might prevent them from making preogress into full-time employment or learning at a higher level.

This pathway could include work placements, community projects, voluntary work and centre based learning opportunities to deliver a Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) qualification which tests occupational competencies at Level 1 or an Essential Skills qualification at level 2, relevant to the career aim of the learner, prior to progressing to either employment or further learning at a higher level.
